Large-scale internal lime plastering within a historic London building, delivering approximately 9,000 m² of wall restoration and smooth mineral finishes using Licata materials.
SANANDR is carrying out approximately 9,000 m² of internal lime plastering at 25 Finsbury Circus for JLR Drylining. The works involve restoring and levelling internal wall surfaces, including the internal faces of the building’s external walls.
The application combines Romana Intonaco lime base plaster, Colorado Spugnato levelling coats with fibreglass mesh reinforcement, and two fine coats of Romana Specular. Final sanding prepares the smooth mineral surfaces for decoration by others.
Works commenced in September 2026, with completion scheduled for August 2027.
- Substrate preparation — Cleaning, surface preparation and absorption control.
- Romana Intonaco — Lime base plaster to restore the plane of the wall; on areas with deep irregularities it is built up by roughly 20–30 mm.
- Colorado Spugnato 0.5 — Lime levelling coat with fibreglass mesh, followed by a second pass to prepare an even surface.
- Romana Specular — Two thin finishing coats for a smooth surface.
- Final preparation — Sanding and preparation for the decorative coating applied by others.
The Licata system continues with Sil Primer and Idrosil Interior after the lime finish; final decoration on this project is carried out by another contractor and is not part of our scope.
